If you go down to Nabadwip in the Nadia district, you can find us in Prachin Mayapur. Specifically, we are on the 5th Lane, in house number 44. Jibanbikash Nidhi Limited is a small setup that we’ve had in this ward for some time now. Nabadwip is an old, historic place with lots of narrow streets, and our lane is no different. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, but once you find house 44, you’re there. The office is small and doesn't have much besides some chairs and the filing cabinets. We do the basic Nidhi work, helping the local residents with their small savings accounts. It’s a very quiet operation. Most of the time, we’re just sitting here writing in the registers and talking to whoever drops by from the neighborhood. We don’t have any fancy signs or big lights. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn’t really matter for the work we do. People come to us because they know us and they live just a few doors down. It’s a very local thing. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the papers and the cash. Every day is pretty much the same, with the sound of the bells from the local temples in the background. It’s a decent way to spend the day. We don't rush anyone here, as there is always time for a chat.
