Janoalo India Nidhi Limited is situated in Maidanpur Sakdaha, which is part of the Chapra area in Nadia. We operate out of Mangal Das’s place. It’s a very local operation, rooted right in the heart of the village. We aren't a corporate firm from the big city; we are just people from Nadia. The office is a simple room where we do all our daily business. We focus on the small savings of the farmers and shopkeepers nearby. People walk in with their passbooks, and we hand-write the entries most of the time. It’s a slow and steady process. We don’t have any marketing brochures or sales pitches. People come to us because they’ve known Mangal Das for years. We try to keep the atmosphere friendly and relaxed. It’s not uncommon for someone to sit down for a long chat while we process their request. We handle the accounts as best as we can, keeping everything transparent for the members. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy, but we always sort it out in the end. Living and working in Chapra means we understand the local needs. We don't try to be something we’re not. We’re just a small Nidhi company trying to give people a way to save their hard-earned money. There’s no big mystery to what we do. It’s just neighbors working with neighbors, keeping the community moving forward one small step at a time.
