Over in Nadia, in the Jafarnagar area, you can find the Jafarnagar Astha Silver Ornaments Artisans' Welfare Foundation. We are located care of Ananda Kumar Sannyasi. Our spot is near the Halalpur post office in Ranaghat. This part of West Bengal is known for its craftsmanship, and we are right in the middle of it. It’s not a polished corporate office. It is more of a community space where we gather to talk about the work and the artisans. We don't have a lot of money for fancy decorations. We prefer to keep things simple and practical. The roads around here can be a bit rough, but that doesn't stop us from getting our work done every day. We don't have a marketing team to tell our story. People around Ranaghat know who we are because they see us every day. We focus on the real problems that the silver workers face. It is about the craft and the people who make it happen. We spend a lot of time just listening and trying to figure out the best way forward. It’s honest work, and it’s not always easy. We are just a small group trying to help out where we can in our corner of Nadia. We don't make big promises, we just show up and do what we can for the artisans who depend on us to be here for them.
