Harbour Greens

Harbour Greens is situated out in Amtala, which is part of the 24 Parganas South district. It is a bit of a drive from the main city of Kolkata, but it is much quieter out here and the air feels different. We have quite a bit of space around the property. I spend most of my time managing the grounds and making sure the plants and the greenery are taken care of properly. It involves a lot of physical work every day. The humidity in this part of Bengal can be really heavy, especially when the monsoon months arrive. We are pretty easy to find if you are heading down the main road towards the coast. People usually come to see us when they want to get away from the noise and the crowds for a little while. There is always something that needs to be fixed or planted or cleaned up. I have a couple of local guys who help me out with the heavy lifting and the digging. We do not have a big corporate setup or a front desk. It is more about the land and keeping the place looking decent for whoever visits. Sometimes the power goes out when there is a big storm, so we just sit on the porch and wait for it to come back. The address is just Amtala, and everyone around here knows where the gate is. It is an honest way to live.
