Granthalok

Our shop, Granthalok, is located in Chakdaha, Nadia. You can find us on KC Dutt Road, not far from the Abhay Ashram. It’s a nice area, relatively quiet compared to the main market, but we still get plenty of foot traffic. We deal with books and printing, so there are stacks of paper and finished volumes everywhere you look. The shelves are a bit disorganized, but I usually know exactly where everything is. It smells like old paper and fresh ink inside. We spend a lot of time talking to local writers or people who just want something printed for their family. My hands are usually stained with something by midday. The Ashram nearby brings a bit of a peaceful vibe to the street, though we’re usually too busy to notice it much. We have an old ceiling fan that squeaks, but it keeps the air moving during the hot months. It’s a family-run place, so there’s often a bit of bickering about who forgot to order more glue or paper. We don't have a website or any of that fancy stuff. People just know where we are and come by when they need something done. It’s a slow and steady kind of life here on KC Dutt Road. We just keep doing what we’ve always done. If someone needs a book bound, they know where to find us.
