Grambangla Micro Service Foundation

Our foundation is based in the village of Gobrapota, which is in the Nadia district of West Bengal. We operate out of a space provided by Sushanta Sarkar in the Purba part of the village. Grambangla Micro Service Foundation is very much a local effort. We don't have a big office building or a team of experts from the city. It is just us, people who live and work in this village every day. We focus on micro services because we know that sometimes a very small amount of help can make a big difference to a family here. Most of our work happens on the porches of houses or sitting under a tree, talking to farmers and small shopkeepers. We don't have shiny brochures or a fancy mission statement. We just know the people in Gobrapota and we see what they are going through. Our office is simple, with just the basic things we need to keep our records straight. Sometimes the paperwork piles up, and it takes us a while to get through it all, but we do our best. We are not a big corporation; we are just neighbors who want to see our village do a little better. We don't make big promises that we can't keep. We just show up, listen to what people need, and see if there is a practical way we can help them out. It’s a slow way of working, but it’s real.
