S K Enterprises is located out in the Nadia district, specifically in the Post Durgapur area. It’s a bit different from the big city offices you see. Here, things move at a slightly slower pace, which suits us just fine. We handle a variety of local business needs and supplies for the community. Our building is a simple structure that we’ve used for years. In the mornings, you can hear the birds and the local traffic starting up. We don't have a big staff, just a few local people who live nearby. Most of our day is spent talking to people who drop by or managing the inventory we keep on hand. The weather in Nadia can be quite damp during the monsoon, so we have to be careful about how we store everything. We’ve had to fix the roof a couple of times to keep the rain out. It’s the kind of place where people stop by just to say hello even if they don’t need anything that day. We keep a ledger for all our accounts, and it’s mostly hand-written. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to provide what the local folks need and keep the business running steadily. Sometimes the internet is a bit spotty out here, so we still rely a lot on the old ways of doing things. It’s a quiet life, but we stay busy enough.
