Dasanti Enterprises

Dasanti Enterprises is located in the Rathtala Colony in Ranaghat. It’s part of the Nadia district in West Bengal. If you know the area, it is a pretty typical neighborhood with houses close together and kids playing in the lanes. Our office is a humble place. We don’t have those big glass buildings you see in the city. It’s just a regular building where we handle our business. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we do. Ranaghat is a place where everyone knows each other. You can hear the trains from the station if the wind is blowing the right way. We spend most of our time dealing with local orders and talking to people who walk in. It gets very hot in the summer, so we keep the windows open, even if it lets some dust in. We have a few desks and some plastic chairs for guests. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. We mostly wear cotton shirts and sandals. The pace of life here is a bit slower than in Kolkata, but we still have plenty to do every day. Sometimes we stay late to finish up the books or talk to a supplier from out of town. It’s a simple life and a simple business, just doing our part in the colony and making sure things are running.
