Our base is over in Chapra, which is in the Nadia district. We are set up at C/O Krishna Das in a place called Charuitipi. The pin code is 741123. It’s a very local spot, far out from the big cities. You see a lot of green fields and open sky around here. The building we use is simple, just a regular structure that belongs in a village setting. There isn't much traffic, mostly just cycles and the occasional motorbike passing by on the road. We spend our days here in Charuitipi, often sitting by the open door to catch whatever breeze comes through. It’s a quiet life in Nadia. Our rooms are filled with basic furniture, nothing flashy. We have a few calendars on the walls and some old fans that creak a bit when they are on full speed. Krishna Das’s place is well-known in the immediate area, so we don't really need a big map to tell people where we are. It’s the kind of place where you can hear the birds in the morning and the crickets at night. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or modern office decor. It’s just us, some paper, and the local community that stops by now and then. It’s a slow pace, but it suits the work we do. We like the quiet because it lets us think and we are happy staying right here.
