If you’re ever near the Muragachha station, that’s where you’ll find us. We’re over at Abhijit Dey’s place in the Nakashi Para area of Nadia. Being so close to the station means there’s always people moving around, which we like. It’s a simple setup we’ve got here at 741126. We don't have a big staff or anything, just a couple of us who take care of the members. We spend most of our time at the desks, writing in the ledgers and talking to people who come in after they get off the train or finish their work in the fields. It’s a very local business, and we don’t try to pretend to be anything else. We deal with the everyday money matters for people in the village and the surrounding parts of Nadia. The office is just a regular room, nothing special to look at, but it’s where we do all our important work. We don’t use big computers for everything; sometimes a pen and paper are just better for keeping things clear. We’ve known most of our members for years, so there’s no need for formal talk or complicated procedures. We just sit down, have a drink of water, and get the business sorted. It’s a straightforward way to run things, and it seems to suit the people around Muragachha just fine. We stay busy enough without needing to advertise or make a big deal out of it.
