Banglar Saree Producer Company Limited is based out in Nadia. Specifically, we are at Plot No-48/314 in the Krishnapurchak area of Dakshinrapara. It is a bit of a mouthful of an address, but it is where we do all our work. Being a producer company means we are closely tied to the people who actually make the sarees. The location in Kalinarayanpur is quite peaceful compared to the big city. We have a lot of space here, which is good because sarees take up a lot of room when you are sorting them out. The khatians and plot numbers are all part of the official records for this land. Most of the people here are very familiar with the weaving traditions of Nadia. We spend a lot of time checking the looms and looking at the thread work. It gets very hot out here during the summer months, but we are used to it. Our office is more of a gathering place for the local producers than a corporate headquarters. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just help organize the production and make sure the sarees are ready for the market. It is a very hands-on job and there is always something that needs fixing or checking. We are just a local group working with what we know best.
