Aalo Bharat Foundation

We are based over in Duplovpur Purbapara, which is a part of Karimpur in the Nadia district. You can find us at Diptesh Das’s place. It is a simple house in a typical village setting. Aalo Bharat Foundation started because a few of us felt like we should be doing something useful right here where we live. We are not some big NGO from a fancy city. We are just local residents who know these streets and the people living on them. Our work is not flashy. It is mostly just being available to help out with whatever comes up in the community. We do not have a big office with computers everywhere. It is more of a home-based thing where we sit together and plan our days. Karimpur is a nice place, but it has its challenges like anywhere else. We do not have a corporate ladder or big titles. Everyone just chips in where they can. Sometimes we are busy all day, and other times we just sit and talk with visitors over a cup of tea. We do not have a grand plan to change the whole world; we just want to look after our own corner of Nadia. It is a quiet life, but it keeps us busy enough. We are not interested in being famous or big. We just want to be a steady presence in the village for anyone who needs us.
