Almarwa Hardwares

Almarwa Hardwares is right over in Kasthuri Kulam, which is part of the Calicut district. If you know the area, you probably know the spot. We stay pretty busy most days of the week selling all the little things people need for their houses or small repair jobs. It’s not a huge shop, but we try to keep the shelves full of the basics like nails, tools, and paint. You know how it is, someone always needs a specific screw or a hammer because they lost theirs. The area around Kasthuri Kulam has a lot of movement, so we get locals walking in all the time. Sometimes we have what they want right away, and other times we have to go looking in the back room to see if it’s buried under something else. The shop can get a bit dusty because of all the metal and wood stuff, but that’s just how hardware stores are. We’ve been here for a bit now and know most of the people who live nearby by their first names. It’s a decent way to earn a living. We don’t do anything too complicated, just selling hardware to anyone who stops by. Calicut weather can be tough on the inventory with the rain, so we spend a lot of time moving things around to keep them dry. It’s a simple life running a shop here. We just take it one day at a time.
