Our place is at F 6/B on Road No 18. It’s a simple shop. If you walk in, you’ll see walls covered in small plastic bins. We keep thousands of different screws, bolts, and fasteners in those. It’s a lot to keep track of, to be honest. Sometimes I spend half the morning just counting out pieces for an order. It’s easy to lose count if someone walks in and starts talking to you. I’ve been doing this for a long time now. I know where almost everything is without looking at the labels, but my helper still struggles a bit. The shop isn't very big, so it gets crowded when we get a new shipment in. We have to stack boxes in the aisles until we can sort them out. The lighting in the back is pretty dim, so I usually keep a flashlight in my pocket. We don’t have a computer to track the inventory. We just use a big paper ledger and a pen. It’s old fashioned but I don't really trust the digital stuff. We get a lot of local mechanics and builders coming by. They know we usually have what they need. We don't have a big sign outside, just the unit number on the door. It’s a bit dusty because of the road, but we try to keep it tidy. We’re here every day except Sunday. It’s a quiet life, mostly just the sound of metal clicking into bins.
