Ambay Enterprises is right here at 39, Madhi Street in Vasantpura. Madhi Street is one of those places that feels like it’s always moving, with vendors and shoppers crowding the pavement from early morning until late at night. Our shop is nestled right in the thick of it. It’s a long, narrow space that we’ve filled up with just about everything we need to run the business. We have some old shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling, so we often have to use a ladder to reach the stuff at the top. The floor is made of old stone that’s stayed cool even when it’s boiling outside, which we appreciate. We keep a small desk near the front where we handle all the transactions and talk to anyone who walks in. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don’t have any marketing people or fancy brochures; we just talk to people face-to-face and figure out what they need. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic and the shouting from the market, but you get used to it after a week or two. We’ve been part of the Vasantpura community for quite some time now, and we’ve built up a lot of trust with the people on this street. It’s just a honest day’s work for us in a place we know well. We don't plan on moving anywhere else anytime soon.
