Our place is out on Plot 41-43 in the Kiadb Industrial Area. It’s a pretty large area to navigate if you aren’t used to it. We spend most of our days surrounded by the sounds of machines and the smell of fabrics. Working in automotive textiles means things can get quite busy, and the floor is usually buzzing with activity from early morning. We aren't a small shop, but we try to keep that local feeling among the staff here. Most of us commute from quite a distance, so the parking lot is always full of scooters and bikes by eight o'clock. The Kiadb area is quite sprawling, and sometimes it feels like we are in our own little world out here. We have a small break area where we sit and talk about the weekend or the latest cricket match while we eat our lunch. The work can be repetitive, but there is a certain rhythm to it that we all got used to. We have some heavy machinery that needs constant looking after, so there is always someone with a wrench or a rag nearby. It’s an industrial life, really. We don’t have fancy office furniture or art on the walls, just the stuff we need to get the textiles made. It’s honest work and it keeps a lot of families in the area going. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but we just wipe it down and keep moving.
