S.K.M.R Builders & Developers is based over in Rajendrea Nagar, right in the Kurrimandi Block area of Mysore. We’ve been working on various buildings around here for some time now. Our office isn't anything you’d see in a glossy magazine; it is just a functional space where we look at maps, blueprints, and permits. Mysore is growing quickly, and we see those changes happening every single day from our office windows. We spend a lot of our time out at construction sites, getting our boots dirty and making sure things are actually moving along as they should. It’s not always easy work, especially when the weather doesn't cooperate or the materials show up late. But we just deal with those things as they come. We’re local people. We know the streets of Kesare and how the land sits in this part of town. Most of our day is spent talking to contractors or checking on things at the local government offices. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls that never seem to end. We don't use big corporate words or try to act like we’re some huge international corporation. We’re just a bunch of people trying to build things that stay standing for a long time. Some days are very long, and we end up staying late into the evening just to finish a drawing or a cost sheet. There’s always dust on the floor from someone coming back from a site visit. That’s just part of the job here and we don't mind.
