Our factory is located on Rane Madras Road within the Kasaba Hobli Hebbal Industrial Area. It is a busy industrial zone, so there is always the sound of trucks and other machines in the background. We make labels here at Shreeambe Labels. The space is filled with big rolls of paper, sticky backing, and the humming of our printing presses. It is not the kind of place where you would come for a meeting in a suit. Most of us are in work clothes because of the ink and the grease from the machines. We spend the whole day watching the labels roll off the line, checking to see if the alignment is right or if the colors look okay. Sometimes a machine breaks down or the rolls get tangled, and we have to spend an hour or two fixing it with our hands. We supply a lot of the businesses around Hebbal and other parts of the city. The traffic on the industrial roads is usually heavy, so we have to plan our pickups and deliveries carefully. We have been in this spot for a while and have gotten used to the rhythm of the industrial area. It is hard work and the floor is usually covered in little bits of sticker waste by the end of the day. We just keep our heads down, run the orders, and make sure the labels are packed into boxes for the morning.
