We operate out of Helavara Hundi in T Narasipura, near Mysore. The office is set up at B S Chandrakala’s place. It’s not your typical glass-and-steel office building. It feels much more like a home office, which suits us just fine. Being in a place like T Narasipura, things move at a bit of a slower pace compared to the big cities. We handle the Nidhi company work right from here. Most of our members are local folks from the surrounding villages and the town itself. We don't really bother with big signs or fancy furniture. We have the basic stuff needed to keep the records and handle the money. It gets a bit dusty sometimes because of the location, but we just wipe things down and keep going. We know the community well, and people feel comfortable stopping by to talk about their savings or ask questions. There is no corporate ladder here, just a few of us making sure everything is handled properly. We spend our mornings getting the paperwork in order and then wait for people to drop by in the afternoons. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we don’t try to pretend it’s anything else. We focus on the practical side of managing the funds and keeping everyone's accounts straight. It’s honest work and it keeps us connected to the people around us in Mysore district. It's just what we do.
