Rishika Arts

Rishika Arts is a small shop at Shop No.-4 on Geeta Road. We are pretty close to Ballal Circle in Chamarajapuram, which is a nice part of town to be in. The shop is usually filled with the smell of paint and paper. We spend our hours organizing art supplies and helping people find the right kind of brushes or canvases for their projects. It’s a quiet life for the most part, though it gets a bit busier when the local students have their projects due. We don't have a big corporate structure here. It’s just us and the art stuff. The shelves are packed with all sorts of things, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for. Geeta Road has a nice feel to it, not too frantic but still lively. We like being near the circle because it's a good landmark for people trying to find us. We aren't trying to sell anything fancy, just the tools people need to create their own work. We have a small table in the back where we sometimes try out new supplies ourselves. It’s a messy job sometimes, with ink stains on our hands and charcoal dust on the floor. But it’s what we do every day and we’re quite used to it by now. The neighborhood knows us as that place where the shelves are always full of colors. We just keep our heads down and help out whoever comes in.
