Ravi Bags

Ravi Bags is at No.182/5 & 6 on Old Bank Road. This is one of those older parts of town where the streets are narrow and everything feels a bit cramped. We have been making bags here for a long time. We mostly do cloth bags and some heavy-duty ones for carrying groceries. Our workshop is full of sewing machines and large rolls of fabric. The sound of the needles clicking is something you hear all day long. It’s a bit messy with threads all over the floor, but that’s just how it is when you’re working. We aren't a big brand. We just make bags that are meant to last. Some of our machines are quite old and need a lot of oiling to keep going. We don't have a marketing department. Usually, Ravi or one of the others will just talk to people who walk in off Old Bank Road. We get a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us for years. They know we don't do anything fancy, just solid work. Sometimes we run out of a certain color of thread and have to wait for the supplier to come by. It’s a slow pace of life here compared to the big malls. We just focus on one bag at a time and try to keep our customers happy. It’s a simple life and we enjoy the process of making something useful with our hands.
