About Project Engr Trainee – Metals & Minerals in Mysuru
I’m currently working out of Room-05 in the Thirumala Tower over in Vijayshree Pura, Mysore. My name is Ravi Ojanahalli and I’m a project engineer trainee here. It’s a bit of a small space, but it’s where I’m learning the ropes of how these projects actually come together. Mysore is a nice city to live in, and Vijayshree Pura is a good spot to be based. Most of my time is spent assisting the senior engineers and trying to make sense of all the technical documents. I do a lot of the footwork, like checking on supplies or updating the progress charts. It’s a lot of learning every day. Sometimes I feel like I’m buried under a mountain of spreadsheets, but that’s part of being a trainee. The room in Thirumala Tower is pretty basic. It’s got what we need to get through the day. I usually grab lunch from one of the nearby places and then get back to it. It’s not a fancy life, but I’m gaining a lot of practical experience. People around the building are friendly enough. I try to stay organized, though my desk doesn't always show it. It’s a busy start to a career, and being right here in the middle of Mysore makes it interesting. I just take it one task at a time and try to be as helpful as possible to the team. It can be tiring but seeing a project take shape is worth the long hours.
