Our place is tied to the steel business, and we’ve been operating out of Mysore for quite some time now. The main work happens over near Metagalli on KRS Road, but we also have this spot in Kuvempunagar, over in M Block, Second Stage. It’s a local operation through and through. Steel is a heavy business and it’s not for everyone. It’s about heat, weight, and making sure the metal grades are right for whatever someone is building. We don’t spend much on decorations or things like that because they just get covered in dust anyway. The office is just a place to get the billing done and talk to the guys over at the plant. Living and working in Mysore has its own pace, which is a bit slower than the big cities, but we stay plenty busy with the furnace and the orders. People around here know us for the steel. We deal with a lot of construction projects and industrial clients who need specific pieces cut or rolled. Sometimes the logs get backed up, or the power goes out, and you just have to deal with the delay. It’s a lot of grimy work but it feels good to see the finished products leaving the yard on a truck. We aren't trying to do anything flashy or special. We just focus on the metal and the people we’ve known for years.
