Lakshmi Narayanan Store

We've been over here on Devaraj Urs Road for a good while now. Shivarampet is a busy place, and being at 756, 2nd Cross keeps us right in the middle of it all. It gets a bit cramped inside sometimes, especially when the morning rush starts, but we manage. Folks stop by for their daily bits and pieces. Most days we see the same faces. Sometimes the traffic outside can get loud, but that’s just how this part of town is. My father started this store, and now we just keep the doors open every morning. There aren't any fancy signs or anything like that. Stocking the basics is our main job. Keeping up with what people need takes a lot of work. The old stone floor has seen a lot of feet over the years. We try to keep things organized, but boxed goods sometimes pile up in the corner when a delivery comes in. If you're walking down 2nd Cross, you'll see our doorway. It isn't much to look at from the outside, just a regular shop where you can get what you need without a fuss. Evening comes and we are still here. Inside, the lights are a bit dim, but they work. Most neighbors are known to us by name. It’s just how it goes here. Nothing more to it than staying busy and keeping the shelves filled as best as we can. We don't use computers much, mostly just notebooks and pens for the accounts.
