Ramanuja Road is always moving, and we are right in the middle of it. Being a medical college hospital means there are always students around, which keeps the energy a bit different than a standard clinic. J S S has been sitting here for a long time. People come from quite far away sometimes because it's a big place. You see the white coats everywhere. The building itself shows its age in places but it's sturdy. It feels like a small city inside some days. There are rows of beds and plenty of people waiting in the halls. It’s loud, it’s busy, and it smells like a hospital. We don’t try to hide that. It’s a place for learning as much as it is for treating people. You’ll see professors and students talking in corners about cases. Ramanuja Road is a landmark itself, so finding us isn't hard for anyone in the city. We deal with a lot of paperwork, as you can imagine. The days are long. Sometimes you lose track of whether it’s Tuesday or Thursday. It’s just the way it goes when you’re running a place this size. We aren't trying to be a five-star hotel. We just provide a place for people to get seen and for students to learn how to be doctors. Every morning the shift changes and a whole new group of people starts the process all over again.
