About Indus Valley Ayurvedic Centre – Food & Beverages in Mysuru
Our center is out at Post Box No - 3 in Lalithadripura, near Ittigegud. It is a bit away from the main city noise, which is good for what we do at Indus Valley Ayurvedic Centre. The area around Lalithadripura is still somewhat green compared to the rest of the city. We spend our days preparing oils, sorting through dried herbs, and setting up the rooms for people who come for treatments. It is a lot of manual work, grinding things down and mixing them according to the old ways. The smell of sandalwood and various roots is everywhere. We don't have a big corporate office; it is more of a traditional setup where the focus is on the pots and the herbs. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we all know each other well. We have to keep the place very clean, so there is a lot of washing floors and towels. Sometimes the monkeys from the nearby trees come onto the roof and make a lot of noise, which can be a bit distracting. We just carry on with our tasks, making sure the infusions are boiling right and the schedules are followed. It is a calm place to work, even when we are busy with a lot of visitors. We just focus on the plants and the people who need them. The days are long but the work feels steady and real.
