Gkb Lens Pvt Ltd is our small setup over in Mysore. We are situated at 702/4 on the 4th Cross of Paparam Street in the Nazarbad neighborhood. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, but that’s fine for us because we don’t need a big storefront to do what we do. Nazarbad is a decent place to be based, and the street we are on is usually full of the usual daily activity of the city. We spend most of our time working on the lenses, which takes a lot of sitting and checking fine details. It’s not very exciting work to watch, but it’s what we know how to do. We’ve been part of this area for a while and we know the other shop owners around the cross street pretty well. People mostly find us because they’ve heard about our work from someone else in Mysore. We don't have a lot of big signs or anything like that. Inside the office, it’s mostly just us, some equipment, and a lot of lens blanks waiting to be shaped. Sometimes the power goes out like it does in any city, but we just wait it out and get back to it. It’s a simple operation and we prefer it that way. We just keep our heads down and try to finish the orders on time.
