If you look for us in Siddaratha Layout, we’re right near Teresian College. It’s a hospital, so things are usually moving pretty fast around here. We have doctors and nurses going in and out at all hours. It isn't like a quiet office job. There is always the sound of carts moving in the halls or someone calling out for a file. We try to keep things as organized as possible, but in a medical setting, you never really know what the next hour will bring. The building itself has been here for a while, and people in the layout know us well. It’s a multispeciality place, so we have different departments all under one roof. It can get a bit crowded in the waiting areas, especially in the mornings when the clinics are full. We don’t have much time for sitting around. Most of the staff are busy checking on patients or updating charts. Being near the college means we see a lot of students walking by too. It’s a community feel, despite the stress that can come with hospital work. We don’t have fancy rugs or expensive art on the walls. It’s a functional space designed for taking care of people. We just do our best to keep the rooms clean and the equipment ready for whoever needs it next. It is a long day for most of us, but that is how hospital life goes.
