Brahmas Architect Studio

Brahmas Architect Studio is tucked away on the penthouse floor of the Satvik Splendor Building. We’re on Kalidasa Road in Vani Vilas Mohalla, which is a nice part of Mysore to work in. Being on the top floor gives us a bit of a view of the city, though we spend most of our time looking at drawings and plans on our desks. It’s a small studio, not one of those big firms with hundreds of people. We prefer it this way because it stays quiet and we can actually focus on what we're doing. The address is No. 1, and it’s a pretty easy building to spot once you’re on the main road. We started this place because we wanted a dedicated space to handle our projects. It’s got a lot of light, which helps when we're trying to figure out tiny details for a building design. Sometimes the lift takes a minute to arrive, but that's just how it goes with older buildings. We don't have any big corporate slogans or any polished sales pitches. We just take on the projects that come to us and try to do a solid job on each one. Most days it’s just the sound of pencils and computers in the background. We like being part of the community here in Mysore. It’s a practical workspace for people who actually do the work. No frills, just a lot of drafting and talking through different ideas with each other.
