Artham

Artham is on the first floor of the IOB Complex on 10th Main in J.P. Nagar B-Block. It’s No. 231, right above the bank, so it’s easy enough to find if you’re looking for it. The stairs are a bit steep, but once you’re up here, it’s a decent little space. We have a view of the street, which is always busy with people going to the bank or grabbing food nearby. Our office is pretty simple—just some desks, a water cooler that makes a loud glugging sound, and way too many cables running along the floor. We aren’t into the whole corporate aesthetic. We just have what we need to get through the daily tasks. Sometimes the traffic noise from 10th Main is a bit much, but you get used to it after a week. It’s mostly just a few of us sitting around, working on whatever projects are on the table. We don't have a dress code, so you'll usually see us in jeans and t-shirts. The neighbor in the next office sometimes brings over homemade snacks, which is probably the best part of the week. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just show up in the morning, do the work, and try to make sure everything is in order before we leave for the day. It’s just a normal way to earn a living in Bangalore.
