Akshaya Supermarket

Akshaya Supermarket is located at number 2 in Srirampura Stage 2, which is in the Kuvempunagar area. It’s a pretty convenient spot for the people living in the apartments and houses around here. We have a fair amount of space, so we can fit in more than just the basics. You will find aisles with all sorts of things, from plastic buckets to bags of rice. The lighting is just regular tube lights, nothing too bright. We try to keep the aisles clear so people don't trip, but sometimes when a new shipment comes in, there are boxes everywhere for a few hours. Kuvempunagar is a growing area, so we see new faces all the time along with the regulars from Srirampura. We don't have a fancy website or anything. We just open the doors and wait for people to come in. The billing counter is right by the entrance. It can get a little crowded there on Sunday mornings when everyone is out doing their shopping at once. We have a few staff members who help with the weighing and packing. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it keeps us busy. We don't really have a big philosophy about what we do. We just want to make sure that when someone from Stage 2 needs milk or soap, they can find it here without having to drive across town. It’s just a regular supermarket for a regular neighborhood.
