Sundaram Sarees

We are located at 133 Ramavilasa Road in Mysore, which is a street that has seen a lot of changes over the years. Sundaram Sarees has been part of this neighborhood for a while, and we like the old feel of the area. The shop has high ceilings and wooden racks that are always stuffed with different fabrics. Every morning, we start by dusting everything off because the road outside gets quite busy with traffic. We aren't trying to be the most modern shop in the city. We prefer the way things have always been done, where you can actually feel the fabric before you buy it. Customers come in and tell us about the weddings they have coming up, and we spend hours pulling down different sarees from the top shelves. Our backs might ache by the end of the day from all that reaching and folding, but it's just the job. Mysore has a specific taste when it comes to sarees, and we try to keep that in mind when we're sourcing our stock. It gets quiet in the mid-afternoon when the sun is high, and that's when we usually catch up on the bookkeeping or just sit for a bit. We know the other shopkeepers on the road, and we often share a quick coffee during the breaks. It’s a simple business, built on just showing up every day and being honest with people.
