Shanthaveeramma Tours & Travels

Our business, Shanthaveeramma Tours & Travels, is located in Basaveshwara Colony over in the Bettadapura part of Mysore. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the name, but it’s a family name and we are proud to have it on our sign. Being in a colony like Basaveshwara means we are surrounded by families and small shops, so it feels very much like a community here. We aren't a big chain with hundreds of cars, we are just a local setup that knows the people in our neighborhood. The office is usually a bit messy with paperwork and old ledgers, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time talking to customers about their plans, whether they are just going across town or heading out for a few days. It's a practical business, nothing too shiny or polished about it. We have some drivers who have lived in Bettadapura their whole lives, so they know every pothole and back alley. Sometimes the rain in Mysore makes the roads a bit tricky, but we just take it slow and get there eventually. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that, we just want to make sure the car turns up when we say it will. It’s a lot of early mornings and late nights, but that is the life we chose and we are used to it by now. The cars need regular maintenance and the tires always need checking before a long drive out of Mysore city.
