River View Hospital

Being right beside Hebbal Lake on the Ring Road means we get a lot of people passing by. The hospital is at No 9, and you can usually see the water from some of the windows if you look out at the right angle. The Ring Road stays busy almost all the time, so there’s a constant sound of cars and buses outside. It’s a large building, and we spend a lot of time walking up and down the hallways. We have different floors for different things, and the elevators are always going. In the mornings, the staff comes in and we check the registers. There’s a lot of cleaning to do because people are always coming in and out from the Hebbal area. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s practical. The waiting rooms have rows of plastic chairs, and there is usually a television playing something in the background to keep people occupied. We see all kinds of cases every day. Some people are just here for a quick check, while others stay for a few days. The air smells like antiseptic most of the time, which is just how hospitals are. We try to keep the paperwork moving so people don’t have to wait too long, but it gets busy. Being near the lake is nice for a break, though we don’t get much time for that. It’s just a regular hospital doing its daily work in a busy part of town.
