Nature Fence

We spend most of our days out in the sun around Mysore. Our base is in K R mahalla, which is a busy part of town. We handle all sorts of fencing work. It is physically demanding stuff, pulling heavy rolls of wire and digging holes for the stone or metal posts. Our hands are usually covered in scratches and dirt by the end of the day. We don’t have a flashy office with air conditioning. We mostly just keep our tools and materials at the shop and head out to farms or house plots early in the morning. Karnataka gets quite hot, so we try to get the heavy digging done before noon. We use a lot of different materials depending on what someone needs to keep out, whether it's stray dogs or just marking a boundary. The truck we use has seen better days, and it rattles quite a bit on the bumpy back roads, but it hasn't let us down yet. We aren't doing anything complicated, just honest manual labor. Sometimes the ground is so hard we have to spend hours just on one post. We eat our lunch under whatever shade we can find on the job site. It’s a simple way to earn a living, and we’ve been doing it this way for years. We aren't big talkers, we just show up and put the fence up until the job is finished.
