Mysore Supermarket

Mysore Supermarket is right next to the Rajeeva Nagar post office in Narasimharaja Mohalla. It’s a convenient spot because people often stop in after they finish their business at the post office. We open up early in the morning, around 7:00, to get the milk and bread deliveries sorted. The shelves are a bit cramped because we try to fit in everything people might need, from soap to snacks. We have a small counter near the door where we keep the loose items like grains and sugar. It gets pretty busy in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. The floor tiles are a bit cracked in the corners, and the ceiling fan makes a clicking noise that we’ve just gotten used to. We don't have fancy scanners or a big staff. It's usually just me and my son taking turns at the till. We know most of the customers by their first names and what they usually buy. Sometimes we run out of space for the new stock and have to pile boxes in the aisles, which makes it hard for people to walk through. We don't do any big promotions or sales. We just keep the doors open and try to have what the neighbors are looking for. It's a lot of work to keep track of everything, but it's what we've been doing for years now.
