Our shop, Kaveri Handicrafts, is located at No.1358 on the 4th Cross of Kabir Road. We’re right in the Mandi Mohalla area of Mysore. It’s an old part of town with a lot of character and narrow streets. The building we are in has been around for quite a while. Inside, it smells like wood and polish because of all the items we keep in stock. We don’t have a big fancy showroom. It’s more of a traditional setup where things are stacked up on shelves or sitting on the floor. We spend our days dusting the carvings and talking to the people who stop by. Some are tourists, but we also get plenty of locals who have known us for years. The work is steady but slow-paced. We aren’t in a big hurry here. We mostly just focus on the items we have and making sure the shop stays open for whoever needs us. The lighting isn't the best, but you can see the work well enough. Sometimes we sit out front when it’s quiet and watch the traffic go by on Kabir Road. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We don't do much advertising. People usually find us by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. It’s just us and the crafts we sell, day in and day out. There isn't much more to it than that, just a local shop in an old neighborhood.
