Our spot is over in Jayalaxmipuram, specifically at house number 83 on Sixth Main in the Second Block. If you know Mysore, you know it’s a bit quieter than the big cities, but things still stay busy at the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation. We spend a lot of time looking at bus routes and schedules. It is a lot of logistics to keep the roads covered and make sure people can get where they need to go every day. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place with desks and a lot of paper. We have people coming in and out all the time asking about timings or routes. Sometimes the rain slows things down or a bus needs repairs, and that’s when it gets a bit hectic around here. We just try to keep things moving as best as we can. Working in Mysore is nice because you get to know the regulars. We aren't trying to be fancy or talk about big goals; we just focus on the buses and the passengers. Most of the staff here have lived in the area their whole lives. We understand the local roads and how long it actually takes to get from one town to another. It’s practical work, honestly. We just handle the day-to-day stuff that keeps the Karnataka roads busy for everyone who lives here.
