Kanaka Tour

We run Kanaka Tour out of Ramakrishnanagar in Mysore. It’s over by the Mysore HO area, which is a bit more relaxed than the city center. We aren't one of those huge travel agencies you see in the mall or on the television. We are just local people helping other locals and visitors get around. Ramakrishnanagar is a nice place to have an office because it’s not as chaotic as the main bus stand area. We’ve been here for a while now, and most people in the neighborhood know where to find us. We don't spend money on big shiny signs or expensive office furniture. The main focus is just on the tours and making sure the vehicles are running right for the next trip. Sometimes the phone rings all day long, and other times it’s quiet enough to have a long lunch or read the paper. We like the balance of it. Being in the 570022 zip code means we handle a lot of the residential requests from this side of town. It’s a good community to be part of. We don't have a complicated mission statement or anything like that. We just wake up, check the schedule for the day, and get to work. If someone needs a car for a wedding or a trip to the hills, they usually just call us up or stop by the office. It’s all very informal but we always get the job done. That’s how we like to keep things around here. No stress, just regular everyday travel work for the people who live around here.
