About Sura Abhivadan Refractories – Textile in Mysore
Sura Abhivadan Refractories is located right behind the Indian Oil Corporation in the Kadakola Industrial Area. We are at Plot No. 130, which is easy enough to spot once you get past the big oil tanks. We work with refractory materials, so there is always a lot of dust and heat involved in what we do. The kilns and ovens are the heart of the place, and they are almost always running. It gets quite hot in the summer months, but we have big industrial fans to move the air around. The staff here are mostly locals from around Kadakola who have learned the trade over many years. We don't have a polished showroom; if you want to see our work, you just walk onto the factory floor. The bricks and lining materials are stacked in the yard in big piles. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time turning around in the narrow lane behind the corporation, but we manage to guide them in. It is a tough, physical job, and we don't pretend it's anything else. We focus on the quality of the heat-resistant materials we produce. Most of our days are spent monitoring the firing process and sorting the finished products. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in this industrial belt. We just keep the fires going and get the orders out on time.
