Indian Railways

This office is located in the Gokulam area of Mysore. We are over at 737, on the 2nd Main and 12th Cross in the 3rd Stage. Gokulam is a nice, relatively quiet part of the city compared to the center. It’s got a lot of trees and a bit of a residential feel, which makes coming to work a bit more pleasant. We work for the Indian Railways, focusing on the local coordination and some of the technical oversight for this region. The building we’re in is pretty standard for Mysore, nothing too tall or flashy. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and a lot of old wooden cupboards filled with files that have been there for years. We like the neighborhood because there are some good small eateries nearby for lunch. Our team is small, mostly people who have lived in Mysore for a long time. We don't have a big corporate sign or anything; it’s just a quiet place where we handle the logistics and the maintenance reports. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait a bit to send out our updates, but we make do. It’s a steady pace of work. We aren't trying to be the most modern office in the world; we just want to make sure the railway business in this part of Karnataka is handled properly and without too much fuss.
