We've been at Plot No. 72/A 2 in the Hootagalli Industrial Area for quite a while now. It’s a busy spot with lots of workshops around. Pams Engineering started out small, just a few of us working with machines and metal. Most days, the floor is loud and there's oil on the ground, but that’s just how a machine shop is. We handle different types of fabrication and repair work that comes our way. Sometimes things get hectic when a big order drops in, but we just put our heads down and get it done. The guys here know their way around the equipment. It isn't a fancy office with carpets or anything like that. We mostly just focus on the drawings and making sure the parts fit right before they go out the door. People from around the industrial area know where to find us if they need something turned or welded. It’s honest work. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless it’s for the accounts. Usually, someone is always busy at a lathe or checking a measurement with a vernier. It’s just us doing what we know. The coffee machine in the corner is probably the most used thing here besides the tools. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years as more units opened up nearby, but we’re still right here in the same plot, keeping the machines running every day. Even when it’s hot outside, the shop stays busy with the sound of metal being worked.
