Flavours And Essences

Down here on Hunsur Road, specifically at 10/344 in Belavadi, we spend most of our time dealing with all sorts of liquids and extracts. It is a bit of a trek for some people to get out here, but we like the space we have. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, just a practical setup for what we do. Inside, there are bottles everywhere. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure the lids are on tight because these essences are strong. If one bottle leaks, the whole room smells like vanilla or pineapple for a week. We don't really have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. The traffic on Hunsur Road can be a real headache in the evenings, so we try to get most of our heavy lifting done in the morning. People come to us when they need specific flavors for whatever they are making at home or in their small bakeries. We don't have a glossy catalog or a receptionist. Usually, you’ll just find one of us in the back rooms working on the stock. It’s a quiet kind of business for the most part, except for the sounds of the road outside. We’ve been at this Belavadi spot for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. It’s just honest work, keeping the essences sorted and ready for the day.
