If you walk down 12th Main in Saraswathipuram and turn at the 6th Cross, you’ll find us at Shop No. 1. It’s a small place, number 253, but we’ve managed to fit a lot of instruments into those four walls. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes and testing gear stacked up. We mostly deal with precision tools, so it’s a lot of squinting at small dials and making sure everything is lined up right. The air in the shop always has that faint smell of metal and electricity. Sometimes the traffic outside on the main road gets so loud we have to close the door just to hear ourselves think. We aren't big on fancy displays or bright lights. Most of our furniture is a bit older, and the chairs squeak when you sit down, but they’re comfortable enough for a long afternoon of paperwork. People stop by all the time just to ask directions or see what we’re working on. We don't mind much. It’s nice being part of the Saraswathipuram neighborhood. Essgee Instruments has been here long enough that we know when the mail arrives and when the tea stall down the street starts brewing the fresh batch. It’s a steady pace of life, and we like it that way. No one is in a huge rush, which is good when you’re handling delicate instruments.
