We’ve been doing this interior work over here on Ashoka Road for a good while now. It’s mostly just us and a small crew of guys who know how to handle wood and paint without making too much of a mess, though some dust is always part of the job. People come to us when they need a cupboard fixed or a whole room changed around. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a workshop where things get built. Sometimes the traffic on Ashoka Road makes it hard to get the materials delivered on time, but we manage. We spend a lot of our days measuring walls and arguing with suppliers about the quality of plywood. It's not glamorous work, but it fills the day. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we started. Most of our tools have seen better days, but they still work fine for what we need to do. If someone needs a shelf put up or a kitchen renovated, they usually just walk in and ask. We handle the carpentry, the painting, and the small bits that people usually forget about. It’s a lot of manual labor and standing around checking if things are level. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just show up, do the work, and hope the customer is happy enough to tell their neighbor about us. That’s how we’ve kept going.
