Arun Roopam Travel Desk

Arun Roopam Travel Desk is set up at No. 79/5 on S.R Road in Devaraja Mohalla. We are located within the Khushi Collection shop, which is a bit of a different setup than a standalone office. It means there are often people browsing for clothes while we are sitting at the desk trying to organize travel plans. The mix of a retail environment and a travel desk makes for an interesting day. S.R Road is a busy stretch in the heart of Mysore, so there is no shortage of activity outside our door. The space we use is just a corner with a desk, a computer, and a printer that occasionally jams. We do a lot of paperwork, filling out forms and printing tickets for customers who drop in while they are out shopping. It can get a bit noisy with the street sounds and the shoppers talking, but we manage to get the work done. The light in this part of the building is a bit dim, so we have a small desk lamp to help us see what we are doing. We’ve been operating from this spot for a while, and it’s a very practical arrangement. Most of our day is spent answering questions about bus timings or train routes. It’s just a normal part of the Devaraja Mohalla bustle, and we are right in the middle of it. We keep a spare stapler on the shelf.
