Our place is at 1101 Akbar Road in Mandi Mohalla. It’s an old part of town, and our building has been here for years. You can usually tell when you’re getting close because the air starts to smell like sandalwood, jasmine, or whatever else we’re working on that day. We deal in aromas and oils. It’s a family-style setup where we spend a lot of time checking the quality of the scents. The warehouse space is filled with glass bottles and metal drums of all sizes. It’s not a shiny corporate office; it’s a place where we get our hands dirty. We have regulars who come in from the market to pick up their orders, and we usually end up talking for a while over a cup of tea. The street outside is narrow and always full of people, so deliveries can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We’ve learned to work around the local traffic. Inside, we try to keep things organized, though there’s always a bit of a mess when we’re mixing a new batch. We don’t use any fancy sales pitches. People know what we have and they come to us because we’ve been consistent over the years. We just enjoy the work and the fact that our job makes the world smell a little bit better. It’s a slow process sometimes, but we aren’t in any huge rush to change how we do things. We keep the tradition going as best we can.
