Upendra Sharma Construction Private Limited is our family business. We are located in Bara Jagarnath, Bhikhanpura area of Muzaffarpur. My father, Parmeshwar Prasad Sharma, started working in this field long ago, and I grew up around construction sites. To us, building things isn't just a business, it’s what we have always done. We handle everything from residential houses to small commercial shops around Muzaffarpur. The weather here can be really tough on construction, especially during the monsoon when the ground gets all muddy. We spend a lot of time just trying to keep the sites dry. Our office is simple, just a place to keep the ledgers and meet with clients. We don't use any of those fancy marketing slogans you see on billboards. We just tell people what we can do and how much it will cost. Usually, people come to us because they’ve seen our work down the street or their cousin recommended us. We try to keep our workers happy because good help is hard to find. We are just regular people. We have good days and bad days just like anyone else. Sometimes a supplier lets us down or a machine breaks, but we always find a way to finish. Being in Muzaffarpur, you learn to be resourceful. We just take pride in the fact that our buildings are still standing strong years after we finish them and the families inside are happy to be living there.
