Umaamrita Foundation

You can find the Umaamrita Foundation over in Sakrogarh, right on College Road. We are set up at Prashant Shekhar’s place, which is very close to the local gun shop. That shop is a bit of a landmark around here, so if you can find that, you’ve basically found us. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It is just a few rooms with desks and some old cabinets where we keep our files. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive signs. We would rather just focus on the work we have to do every day. College Road is always full of life with people heading to the market or students walking to their classes. It gives the place a lot of energy, which we like. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with all the horns and people talking outside, but we’ve learned to work through it. We aren't a big team, just a small group of local people who know this area well. We don't write big reports or give fancy speeches about ourselves. We just show up in the morning and stay until the work is finished. It’s a practical way to run things. Being in the heart of Sakrogarh keeps us connected to what is actually happening in the town. We are just glad to have a steady place to operate from.
