The office itself is a bit of an escape from the noise outside, though you can still hear the horns honking if the windows are open. We have a few rooms filled with cabinets for all the project files we have collected over the years. Muzaffarpur is a busy hub, so being located here makes it easy for our workers to meet up before heading out to different sites. Hriday Sthali has a bit of character to it, it is not like those glass and steel buildings you see in the bigger cities. We have a small area in the back where we keep some of the smaller equipment and spare parts. Most of our mornings are spent drinking tea and talking about the schedule for the week. It is a very down-to-earth environment. We don’t really do the whole corporate thing with suits and formal meetings. Most of us just wear comfortable clothes because we might end up on a dusty construction site by the afternoon.
